The FS24X is an advanced technology QuadBand™ (IR/IR/IR/Visible) Electro-Optical Flame Detector. Using patented WideBand™ Infrared, WideBand™ 4.3 micron IR, and Visible detection technology, the FS24X is a forward leap in flame and fire detection. Sophisticated software algorithms and dual microprocessors ensure that the FS24X has the highest fire detection performance combined with optimal false alarm rejection. The WideBand™ Infrared technology using high-speed solid-state Quantum sensors allows detection of all types of fires, hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon, in all weather conditions and in all altitudes.

Dual microprocessors provide a high level of fail-safe operation combined with fast and reliable performance. The Master Microprocessor performs high-speed digital sampling and signal-processing calculations; while the slave microprocessor handles various sensor data, performs communications, self-diagnostics and provides interface versatility.

The FS24X Detector has a range in excess of 200 feet, (Very High Sensitivity setting) for the detection of a one square-foot Heptane reference fire and has a cone of vision far greater in volumetric coverage than any other Multi-Spectrum IR Detector. This means excellent detection with fewer detectors.

The FS18X is an advanced technology TriBand™ (IR/IR/Visible) Electro-Optical Flame Detector. High-speed solid-state Quantum sensors deliver fast reliable fire detection for all types of fires with the highest false event immunity. Patented software algorithms and multiple microprocessors provide detection of hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fires, in all weather conditions and at all altitudes. Continuous validation diagnostics, optical integrity self testing, and the Event Log with patented FirePic™ downloading for post fire analysis combine to produce the highest reliability (SIL 2 pending) optical flame detector. A 110° field of view and selectable sensitivity means greater volumetric coverage than any other equivalent flame detector.

The FS18X Multi-Spectrum TriBand™ Flame Detector excels in tough industrial environments with false event sources present and in weather extremes. Analog and digital outputs, alarm relays, FM, CSA and ATEX approvals plus enclosure options complete the product offering.

The Model SS4 Optical Fire/Flame Detector is a quick response detector that incorporates Ultraviolet (UV), Wide band Infrared (IR), and Visible (VIS) spectral range sensors. The field of view is the widest in the industry with a 120 degree cone of vision. This means more hazard area can be covered by each detector. Greater sensitivity also increases the volume covered by each detector, up to four times more than some other detectors.

Using sophisticated microprocessor signal processing algorithms with complete spectrum information, virtual immunity to false alarms from arc welding, corona discharge and other common UV sources is achieved. SS4 fire detectors are easy to install and simple to operate. Maintenance is also minimized due to the built-in self-testing feature and modular design.

The SS4 operates from standard 24 Volt DC power and interfaces to approved fire alarm panels or standard PLC’s. When power is applied, a self test is performed and the fault relay resets to show no faults. The detector is then in normal operation. The front LEDs flash every ten seconds to indicate power is on.

The continuous spectral data stream of information from the sensor array is analyzed by the microprocessor. On Alarm, the detector activates the alarm relay and stores all of the pre-fire spectral data from the sensor array in non-volatile memory for retrieval and evaluation. This FirePic™ data can be used to postulate the cause of the fire.
